Egg hunt set for children with special needs

Now I Can Foundation Northeast will hold its inaugural Special Needs Egg Hunt on Wednesday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of Listrak, 100 W. Millport Road, Lititz. All children with special needs age 18 and under and their siblings are invited to attend.

The hunt will be divided into four areas: one for people with mobility issues; an area for participants with visual impairment, which will use beeping eggs; a "quiet and calm" area; and a traditional large group scramble.

The event is free and open to the public, and parking is available. Participants should bring their own baskets. The egg hunt will be held outside, weather permitting, or inside in the case of inclement weather. Guest author Sally McKinney will read stories aloud and share her new book.

Preregistration is required. For more information and to register, visit https://eggstrahunt.splashthat.com/. Information about this event is also available by emailing allison@nowican.org.

Based in Orem, Utah, Now I Can focuses on the intensive model of physical therapy, which is used to treat children with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. Therapists use various interventions and extended therapy times - usually four hours per day, five days per week, as opposed to traditional therapy sessions of 45 minutes or less.

Now I Can Northeast serves clients throughout the northeast region of Pennsylvania. The center has operated out of space in the Listrak headquarters since 2022. To learn more, visit https://nowican.org/pennsylvania-location.
