The Eicher Arts Center Inc. has announced its 2022 schedule of entertainment events at the Eicher House, 409 Cocalico St., in Ephrata Borough's Grater Park.

The rock and folk band Two Pints Shy will perform on Friday, April 8. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Big Dog Craft Brewing will be on-site offering barbecue and craft beers.

Formed five years ago, Two Pints Shy plays songs ranging from classic rock to modern rock and folk songs, including some originals. Bass guitarist Stephen Hildebrand, a founding member of the band, noted that the concert will include "Folsom Prison Blues," first recorded in 1955 by Johnny Cash, and "Mr. Brightside," first recorded by the rock band The Killers.

There will be a cover charge. The Eicher Center urges audience members to bring face masks.

The Eicher Center's 2022 schedule also includes Sunday afternoon events at the Eicher House. Admission is free. Weather permitting, these events will take place outside, with audience members asked to bring folding chairs. Donations to the nonprofit Eicher Center will be accepted.

The Sunday afternoon events will feature the New Holland Concert Band's All American Cornet Band on May 22 at 2 p.m., the Celtic Martins on June 12 at 4 p.m.; Vocal Harmonix on Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.; Frankie Smiles on Oct. 9 at 2 p.m., and Ken Gehret's one-man band on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. June 13 will also be the annual Ice Cream Sundae Day, with refreshments and children's activities available starting at 2 p.m.

The Eicher House and the smaller Eicher Sisters cabin nearby date back to the early 1700s. The structures had badly deteriorated and were threatened with demolition nearly 40 years ago, so the Eicher Arts Center Inc. was formed to work with the borough to save and find new uses for the buildings. The Eicher House became a performing arts venue for the public and is also available to rent for weddings and other private events.
