Elizabethtown Grange presents scholarship

Natalie Musser of Elizabethtown has been selected to receive the 2023 Outstanding Senior in Agriculture Education scholarship, sponsored by Elizabethtown Area Grange 2076. The $500 award was presented at the Senior Awards Program held on May 10 at Elizabethtown Area High School. The annual Grange scholarship recognizes a graduating senior for exceptional achievement in agricultural studies.

Natalie is the daughter of Greg and Jodi Musser. She served as chapter FFA president during her senior year and as secretary the preceding year. She has been recognized by the chapter with the Star Greenhand and Star Chapter degrees. In addition, she has earned the Lancaster County Red Rose Degree, as well as the Keystone FFA Degree. She has competed in various Career and Leadership Development Events, including floriculture, livestock evaluation and public speaking.

In addition to her agricultural interests, Natalie participated in the chamber choir and concert choir during high school. She is also involved as an Impact youth leader.

As a member of 4-H, she has been the Lancaster County 4-H Swine Club president and the Lancaster County 4-H Beef Club treasurer.

Natalie decided to run for state FFA office, which was to be decided in June. She plans to attend cosmetology school at the end of her FFA career.

Established in 1867, the National Grange is a family-oriented fraternal organization dedicated to the betterment of rural America through community service, education, grassroots legislative action and fellowship.
