Historic Rock Ford's Historic Dance troupe will offer introductory English country dance lessons from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 2, Feb. 16, March 2 and March 16. The program will be held on the first floor of the barn at Historic Rock Ford, 881 Rockford Road, Lancaster. English country dances, once popular in Great Britain and the United States, range from slow-paced dances to more lively ones.

The lessons are intended for individuals who have little or no English country dance experience and who are interested in volunteering at Historic Rock Ford as members of the Historic Dance troupe. Historic Rock Ford dancer membership requirements will be emailed to enrollees prior to the first introductory lesson.

There is no fee to participate, and attendees do not need to bring a partner. They should wear comfortable, soft-soled shoes and ordinary casual clothes, and layers are recommended. They may also bring a bottle of water.
