Epilepsy Foundation plans fundraiser

The Epilepsy Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA) will hold its fifth annual Walk to End Epilepsy - Lancaster on Saturday, Oct. 21. The event is part of the Epilepsy Foundation of America's nationwide movement. Community members from across the region will join the EFEPA at the Barnstormers' stadium, 650 N. Prince St., Lancaster, for a day of celebration and raising funds and awareness for the local epilepsy community. Registration will open to the public at 9 a.m., and the walk will step off at 10 a.m.

The walk is noncompetitive, family friendly, and open to the public. The course goes around the stadium concourse, warning track and bases. The event will also include a complimentary chicken barbecue lunch for all in attendance, face painters, a balloon artist, a magician, miniature golf, access to the Kid Zone, giveaways and prizes, and networking and community building.

Registration is free, and fundraising is encouraged. Those who raise a set minimum will receive a T-shirt. All funds raised will be put to immediate use in continuing to provide free support services, programs, and resources to local individuals and families living with epilepsy and seizure disorders.
