ESL, Citizenship Classes Planned

Elizabethtown Alliance Church, 425 Cloverleaf Road, Elizabethtown, will offer Second Language (ESL) and citizenship classes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays starting Sept. 22.

New students are encouraged to attend the first session to sign up for a class, meet the teachers, visit the classrooms, and look at the materials. A brief time for registration will be followed by the first class for both ESL and citizenship.

ESL students will be placed in class levels in which they are comfortable. Vocabulary building and conversational English will be emphasized at all levels.

The citizenship class will cover the U.S. Constitution and American history. This class is open to anyone interested in preparing for the American citizenship test.

There is a registration fee for first-time enrollees in either class. Scholarships are available for those who need aid to pay the enrollment fee.
