Lancaster City Indie Retail Week began Aug. 18 and will continue through Saturday, Aug. 26. With a focus on celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit and unique offerings of local businesses, this annual event celebrates Lancaster city's independent retail community and encourages residents and visitors to support local merchants.

Lancaster city is home to a wealth of merchants and retailers, carrying goods such as cooking spices and oils, tailored clothing, antiques, crafted goods and fine art. During Lancaster City Indie Retail Week, more than five dozen merchants are scheduled to participate, offering special deals and promotions.
