Event to celebrate languages and literacy

WITF invites families to celebrate language, literacy, and learning at Ready, Set, Explore Celebrating Languages on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lebanon Community Library, 125 N. Seventh St., Lebanon.

Families may meet and take a photo with PBS KIDS' Rosie from "Rosie's Rules," enjoy interactive story times in English and Spanish with WITF's Tia Flora, and explore coding and robotics with STEAM learning tools such as Ozobots and Azul Bots. Attendees may also engage in multilingual literacy activities by completing a scavenger quest, playing dominoes, and practicing vocabulary with a game of memory or sight word bowling. Each child in attendance will receive a free book to take home.

The event is free and open to all families; learning stations are designed for kids and teens ages 3 to 14. Registration is optional but encouraged for planning purposes. To register, visit http://www.witf.org/oct10.

The event is supported by Highmark and Highmark Wholecare.
