Event to explore World War II history

The Lititz Historical Foundation, 137 E. Main St., Lititz, will host its annual World War II Day on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the Mary Oehme Gardens, located behind the museum buildings, the historical society will feature more than 20 World War II re-enactors; historical World War II items that were once owned, used, or worn by the soldiers who served; and information about Rosie the Riveter. "American Home Front" will offer a full-size, room by room walk-through of a typical home during the 1940s. The Lititz Museum and Gift Shop will also be open.

Admission is by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Lititz Historical Foundation. Guided tours of the 1792 Johannes Mueller House will also be available for a nominal fee.
