Event to help fund mental health services

Mental Health America of Lancaster County (MHALC) will present "Nourish Your Noodle," an event dedicated to raising awareness and support for mental health services in the community. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 8, at Southern Market, 100 S. Queen St., Lancaster. It will include global culinary dishes, a program, live and silent auctions, and an opportunity to donate.

Meredith Jorgensen, News 8's Lancaster County reporter, will be the master of ceremonies. Doreen Snyder, family services representative of Snyder Funeral Home, will deliver the keynote address, sharing her personal journey with mental health and the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding it.

Last year, in its second year, the event had the theme "Noodles Around the World" and raised more than $118,000, allowing MHALC to expand access to mental health services. This year, MHALC hopes to surpass that milestone.
