Events Held At The Heritage Of Green Hills

Residents and team members from the Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy lifeplan community in Shillington, recently gathered to write positive messages and signatures on a truss that was then hoisted to its spot atop the new Health Care Center.

The Heritage Hotties, a cheerleading squad made up of residents from the community's independent living neighborhood, were on hand to add spirit and pep to the event as they shook their signature blue and gold pom-poms.

Construction on the new building is on track for a late spring 2022 opening.

According to Heritage of Green Hills executive director Doug Walther, the new center will feature wide hallways and oversized windows, which will allow for an abundance of natural light while also giving residents views of the rolling hills and trees on the site's 78-acre campus.

Other design highlights include an open kitchen in the dining room that allows residents to watch as their food is being prepared by chefs; a personal care patio with a fountain, a fire pit and plenty of comfy seating; a secure outdoor garden area full of plants and flowers for memory care residents; a spacious lobby with a cozy area perfect for multigenerational visits; and several bright and inviting gathering and activity spaces inside and out.

The Health Care Center will feature 70 personal care and memory care one-bedroom and studio suites. Each home will include a private bath with top-of-the-line fixtures. The personal care suites will be among the largest assisted-living-style homes available in the market. Each one will include a kitchenette with deluxe finishes.

The Heritage of Green Hills also recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with the return of its annual Little Black Dress Party, which had been on hold since 2019.

Ladies dressed in their most glamourous black outfits and pearls to celebrate happiness and friendship during the event. At the party, attendees were given light-up "diamond" rings, wax lips and roses in Tiffany blue to complete their looks.

The Little Black Dress Party celebrates the spirit of the iconic Audrey Hepburn, who famously said, "I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls."
