Evolve Life Group marks one year

The Evolve Life Group from Wrightsville, Hellam, and surrounding areas, recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. The group was formed in September 2023 by Joe Bachman for individuals age 45 and up to bring the community together. The faith-based group focuses on supporting oneself, others, and community. Members gather for a monthly dinner at a local restaurant and hold a meeting on the last Sunday of each month.

In its first year of existence, the group participated in various community service projects. These initiatives included traveling to Unto to assist in sorting and preparing clothing donations to be shipped to developing countries, staining a ramp deck in conjunction with Servants Inc., Christmas caroling at local nursing homes, baking and distributing cookies to local fire companies, and writing letters to active-duty members of the military.

The group also enjoyed many activities such as a trivia night, an escape room, a Nostalgia Night celebration of the '60s through the '80s, and a private boat tour on the Susquehanna River aboard the Chief Uncas.

Also, the group will hold an event reminiscent of "The Amazing Race" on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 6 p.m. This activity is open to the community.

The Evolve Life Group seeks to continue growing in its second year, so it can impact the surrounding communities and lend a hand to individuals and organizations throughout York and Lancaster counties.
