Eastern York Recreation Authority (EYRA) has announced its upcoming programs. All programs require registration at http://www.easternyorkrec.com.

Youths ages 11 to 15 may take American Red Cross Babysitter Training on Monday, Nov. 28, which is a school holiday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lower Windsor Township Building, 2425 Craley Road, Wrightsville. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. The class includes leadership skills, how to develop a babysitting business, keeping oneself and others safe, helping children behave, and basic first aid.

Beginner Ballet (Intro Class) will be available to children ages 3 to 6. Identical classes will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, or Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lower Windsor Township Building. This class explores rhythm, coordination, and physical movement. Dance attire is not necessary, but socks or ballet shoes are required.

Registration for the Eastern York Soccer Club (EYSC) spring 2023 season will be open until Sunday, Nov. 20, at https://tinyurl.com/eyscspring2023. Programs are available for boys and girls born from 2008 to 2018. New players must supply their birth certificate and a photo at the time of registration. The season will run from late March through early June. The soccer complex is located at Barshinger Fields on Accomac Road in Hellam Township.
