The 2025 West Lampeter Community Fair will include several baking contests. Entries will be received on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 1 to 9 p.m., and the fair will run from Wednesday, Sept. 24, to Friday, Sept. 26. For the INCREDIBLE Angel Food Cake Contest, cakes must be made entirely from scratch, with all ingredients and decorations edible, and the recipe must be submitted with the cake. Bakers are asked to use eggs produced in Pennsylvania, if possible, and cakes must be submitted on a disposable plate. Entrants may not have won first place in the INCREDIBLE Angel Food Cake Contest at any other fair in 2025. Cash prizes will be awarded for first through third places.

Entries in the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest must be submitted in a disposable pan and include at least 60% apples in the filling. Pies must be made entirely from scratch, and all ingredients and decorations must be edible. The recipe for the pie and pie crust must be submitted with the entry. Entrants may not have won first place in the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest at any other fair in 2025.

The entry for the Homemade Chocolate Cake Contest must be a layered chocolate cake that is frosted. The entire entry must be made from scratch and edible, and the recipe must feature chocolate or cocoa as a main ingredient. The cake must be submitted on a disposable plate, and the recipe must be submitted with the entry. Entrants may not have won first place in the Homemade Chocolate Cake Contest at any other fair in 2025.
