Etown Grace Church, 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown, will host a Community Faith and Blue Event on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will offer an opportunity for the community to connect personally with local police departments, fire departments, and EMS units.

The police chiefs and officers from Elizabethtown Borough, Mount Joy Borough, Northwest Regional, and Susquehanna Regional police departments will be present. A question-and-answer time with the police chiefs from each department will begin at 1:30 p.m. Hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, and children's activities will be available.

The local event is part of a national Faith and Blue Weekend that is an initiative of MovementForward and One Congregation One Precinct Initiative. The goal is to build bridges through activities and outreaches between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve, including but not limited to the faith community. Everyone is invited.
