Fall Fun Fest planned at Grace Point

A few things have changed for the 18th Grace Point Church Fall Fun Fest. According to organizer Kathy Gehman, the 2024 event will be a bit more caffeinated. "This year, we will have a coffee truck to purchase specialty coffees," said Gehman of the dispensary owned by a church member.

The 2024 Fall Fun Fest will be held at the church, 10 S. Singer Ave., Paradise, on Friday, Nov. 1, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Gehman reported that last year during the event, 5,000 pieces of candy were given away and 300 meals were served. The rain date for the fest will be Sunday, Nov. 3, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

A free meal will be available for each attendee who visits the welcome table to receive a ticket. Meals will be served inside, but dining tables will be located outside. Meals will include a choice of a pork barbecue sandwich or a hot dog, along with applesauce, chips, and a cookie. Additional meals will be available for purchase.

As in the past, the emphasis at the fest will be on outdoor activities. Highlights will include inflatables, a petting zoo, and carnival games. Games and activities will include gaga ball, skee-ball, a frog hop game, mini golf, Plinko, pedal cars, a haybale maze, and an obstacle course. "We will have pumpkin painting and a bowling game," added Gehman.

Candy will be given away at each game station, and bags for candy will be provided. The trick-or-treat alternative will also feature a campfire and s'mores. Milkshakes will be available for purchase.

"Anybody of any age is welcome," said Gehman, who pointed out there are no age limits to participate in games. There is no admission fee to attend the event, and parking is free. For more information, readers may call 717-687-7971 or visit http://www.gracepointparadise.com.
