Fallen Officers' Benefit Hockey Game set

The Cops for K.O.P.S. annual Fallen Officers' Benefit Hockey Game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Giant Center, 550 W. Hersheypark Drive, Hershey. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The opening ceremonies will begin at 12:45 p.m., with the puck drop at 1 p.m.

Since 2005, COPS for K.O.P.S. (Keep Our Pipers Silent) has been committed to supporting the families of Pennsylvania law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty, particularly the educational needs of their children. The annual benefit hockey game raises funds for COPS for K.O.P.S.' mission and memorializes fallen officers.

At the upcoming game, teams of active duty and retired law enforcement officers from organizations such as the Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia Police Department, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and local municipal police departments will face off. The event will also include giveaway drawings and games.

The family-friendly hockey game is COPS for K.O.P.S.' largest fundraiser, with this year's fundraising goal set at $50,000. In previous years, more than 1,000 family members and friends, along with media personnel, have attended.

Following the game, an after party will be held at the Hershey Italian Lodge, 128 Hillcrest Road, Hershey. Community members are invited to join family members of the memorialized officers and people who played in the hockey game for a full meal, beer and wine, beverages, DJ entertainment, giveaway drawings and a silent auction.

Tickets for the hockey game may be purchased at the door. There is a separate fee and ticket for the after party. For more information and to purchase tickets to the after party or to make a donation, visit http://www.facebook.com/cops4KOPS.
