Festival to celebrate plant-based living

Lancaster Farm Sanctuary will present the seventh annual Lancaster VegFest on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4, from noon to 5 p.m. at Buchanan Park, 901 Buchanan Ave., Lancaster. The event is a celebration of plant-based living.

Attendees will have the opportunity to try a wide range of plant-based food from local vendors, learn about the health benefits of a plant-based lifestyle, and get inspired to take action to reduce their environmental footprint. Presenting sponsor Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-op will host an organic farmers market showcasing local produce.

This year's event will feature over 120 vendors, including local restaurants, food trucks, and small businesses selling plant-based products and services. The event will also include a beer garden, live music, giveaway drawings, yoga classes by West End Yoga, kids' activities and speakers.

Admission is free, but there is a suggested donation, which will support the work of Lancaster Farm Sanctuary. This nonprofit farmed animal rescue, located in Mount Joy, is dedicated to saving animals' lives and inspiring compassionate choices.

A VIP option offers early admission at 11 a.m., a VIP bag, and complimentary giveaway drawing tickets.
