Fetrow honored for academic achievement

Marlee Fetrow of Birdsboro was named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Fetrow is a member of the national runner-up field hockey team from Kutztown University, Kutztown.

The National Academic Squad honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or greater through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Four hundred thirty student-athletes from 30 Division II institutions were named to the 2024 National Academic Squad.

In addition, Fetrow was one of six members of the Kutztown field hockey team who earned NFHCA Scholars of Distinction honors for 2024. The program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or greater through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year. This year, 125 student-athletes were recognized.

Fetrow is a graduate of Daniel Boone Area High School.
