New Bridgeville Fire Company, 2870 Furnace Road, Red Lion, has planned two events. For both events, reservations are available by calling 717-927-6026 or 717-927-9018 or texting 717-309-6261; those registering should specify the number of people in their party.

Sundaes With Santa will take place on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Children of all ages may visit with Santa and take part in games, crafts, and more. Holiday stories appropriate to various age groups will be shared. The event will also include an ice cream sundae bar, offering ice cream with a variety of toppings.

The event is free of charge. Reservations are recommended by Wednesday, Dec. 18, although walk-ins will be accepted. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sundaes With Santa is being organized by the Auxiliary of the New Bridgeville Fire Company. The firehall is handicapped-accessible.

The auxiliary will also host an all-you-can-eat pork and sauerkraut dinner on New Year's Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Serving will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meal will consist of pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, filling, corn, gravy, and applesauce. Hot dogs will be offered as an alternative for children. A variety of homemade desserts will be available.

Reservations are requested by Sunday, Dec. 29; callers should give their name and phone number, along with the number of people in their party.

Carryout meals will be available after 12:30 p.m. on the day of the meal. There is a suggested donation for the meal. Children under the age of 8 may eat for free.

All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the activities of the New Bridgeville Fire Company Auxiliary in its support of the New Bridgeville Fire Company and the local community.
