Malvern Bank, N.A, will host a free First-Time Home Buyers seminar on Saturday, Sept. 24, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the bank's Downingtown/Lionville office, located at 537 W. Uwchlan Ave. Registration is required and can be made by emailing Mortgages@MyMalvernBank.com.

The seminar will focus on the path to home ownership, and topics will include how to buy a home this fall, listing prices in today's market, owning versus renting, and down payments.

The seminar will offer the insights from industry professionals in different aspects of home buying. The presenters will include John Stack, senior vice president and residential mortgage manager for Malvern Bank, who has more than 20 years of experience as a mortgage loan originator and manager.

Stack will be joined by Chris Holt, a Pennsylvania-licensed real estate agent and leader of the Chris Holt Team. Holt has expertise in housing sales, community relations and real estate marketing.

Attendees will also hear from Sheri Houpt, a United States Department of Housing and Urban Development certified housing counselor with the Housing Partnership of Chester County. Houpt has more than 20 years' experience in the mortgage industry and as a housing counselor.
