First United Methodist Church (UMC), 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, will offer "A Service of the Longest Night" on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. Also known as a "Blue Christmas" service, this will be a quiet service held on the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, for those who may not be feeling the joy of the holiday season due to sadness or struggles of many kinds.
