Fitzpatrick earns sports honor

Twenty-six winter student-athletes at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, earned all-conference awards for their performances this season. Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Middletown was among the students recognized. Fitzpatrick is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration at the college.

A member of the women's basketball team, Fitzpatrick was named to the Middle Atlantic Commonwealth All-Conference First Team. Fitzpatrick earned a spot on the All-Conference team for the second consecutive season after being a second team selection and Rookie of the Year a year ago. The junior was a first-team honoree this year after finishing second in the conference in points and points per game.

Fitzpatrick finished the year with 432 points in 25 games - an average of 17.3 points per game. The guard was third in the conference with 54 three-pointers and second in three-point percentage at 35.5. She was also second in free-throw percentage, making 82.9% of her 82 attempts. The junior also had 115 rebounds, 54 assists, 21 steals, and seven blocks. She scored a career-high 28 points in a 74-64 victory over Alvernia on Jan. 7 and recorded her first career double-double with 10 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, and five assists against York on Feb. 4.
