Football and cheerleading program posted

The United Disabilities Services Foundation (UDSF) has opened registration for the Challenger Football and Cheerleading League for the 2025-26 school year.

The league offers opportunities for people ages 8 to 21 with disabilities in Lancaster and surrounding cities to exercise while having fun. Along with teaching football and cheerleading fundamentals, the league gives players the opportunity to participate in a group activity where they can learn skills, interact socially with other individuals, and make new friends.

The program is also looking for volunteers to be Challenger Buddies to encourage players around the field and help with passing and catching. Games will take place every Saturday from Aug. 2 to Oct. 18 except Aug. 30. Volunteers over 18 must complete a criminal background check and child abuse clearance.

Sponsorships are available for businesses and individual donors.
