Football Players Honor Teachers

Sixteen Hempfield High School senior football athletes demonstrated their appreciation to teachers through a unique jersey presentation.

Organized by Hempfield head football coach George Eager, the "My Jersey, Your Impact" recognition event provided each senior football player the opportunity to personally recognize a teacher who has made a positive impact on their life. The student-athletes walked through the hallways of the school, stopping at classrooms to say a few words of appreciation to the teachers they selected. The students then presented the teachers with their jerseys to wear for the day, leading up to the homecoming game in the evening on Oct. 8.
