Foundation Donates To Club Ophelia

The Hummelstown Community Foundation donated $1,000 to Lower Dauphin Communities That Care (LDCTC) in support of the Club Ophelia program.

Club Ophelia is an after-school program that is designed to help girls in grades two through six to improve their relationships with other girls and provide alternatives to bullying situations. High-school girls are trained to serve as mentors to the younger girls. Additionally, LDCTC's Camp Ophelia is a four-day summer camp for girls entering sixth grade. Since 2005, LDCTC has served 1,713 girls and 465 mentors in its Club Ophelia programs.

The foundation's donation was from proceeds from its 2022 Spring Bash.
