Foundation plans "Education Rocks" gala

The Warwick Education Foundation will roll out the red carpet for its annual Education Rocks gala on Friday, May 9, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Foundry 48, located in the Listrak building, 100 W. Millport Road, Lititz. This year's theme is "Vintage Vegas."

The event will bring the sparkle of 1960s Las Vegas - tuxedos, cocktail dresses, champagne toasts, and classic swing music - to raise funds for local classrooms.

Frankie Roma and the Pack Rats will headline the event with a nine-piece big-band tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and their legendary cohort.

The event will also include student grant displays, heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, live and silent auctions, and a wine and bourbon pull, and a foundation presentation.

Vintage Vegas-style attire is encouraged, but not required.

Individual tickets, corporate table reservations, and sponsorship packages are available at http://www.warwickef.org/educationrocks.

All proceeds will fund Warwick Education Foundation grants to teachers for innovative programs, visits by experts in residence, and technology resources. Since 1997, the foundation has invested more than $3.8 million in the Warwick School District.

The Warwick Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing educational excellence within the Warwick School District.
