The Friends of the Moores Memorial Library will hold their annual spring plant sale and chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 10, at the Lions Community Park, 325 N. Bridge St., Christiana.

The plant sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and feature hanging baskets, planters and other plants that children can purchase as Mother's Day gifts.

Chicken barbecue meals will be available beginning at 10 a.m. The cost of a meal includes a half-chicken, a bottle of water and a bag of chips. Randy Yoder will prepare the chickens on-site.

The Friends are currently targeting funds to pay for the new public use computers in the library as well as the Summer Reading Program for children.
