Funding awarded for infrastructure, arts

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) released funding for infrastructure projects in the 196th district.

The recipients include Abbottstown-Paradise Joint Sewer Authority, receiving $1 million for collection system improvements; Dillsburg Area Authority (DAA), $200,000 for watermain replacement; Dover Township, $891,000 for water line replacement on Carlisle Road; Dover Township Sewer Authority, $918,050 for sewer extension; Franklin Borough Municipal Authority, $130,050 for water treatment facilities backup power; Felton Borough, $176,907 for stormwater improvements; Hallam Borough, $234,265 for watermain replacement; New Freedom Borough, over $1.1 million for wastewater treatment plant improvements; Seven Valleys Borough, $48,252 for stormwater repairs on Church Street; Spring Garden Township, $433,293 for stormwater improvements; and Yoe Borough, $418,740 for stormwater improvements.

American Rescue Plan Act funds have also been awarded to arts and culture organizations. These organizations are Art of Recycle, $13,955 for operating expenses; Creative York, $13,252 for operating expenses; Cultural Alliance of York County Inc., $119,532 for operating expenses; Dance it Forward Greater York, $21,172 for operating expenses; DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre, $20,640 for operating expenses; Steam Into History York Central Railway of York, $43,506 for new programs and marketing; Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center Inc., $74,242 for marketing; Susquehanna Folk Music Society, $10,000 for operating expenses; Susquehanna Heritage Corp., $37,955 for operating expenses; York County History Center, $45,500 for marketing; and York Symphony Association, $32,451 for programming assistance.
