A fundraising event in Bird-in-Hand has been planned to benefit people who are affected by the war in Ukraine, with aid provided primarily through religious ministry. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 320 N. Ronks Road.

The festivities on Friday will include an auction, featuring a truck, tools, a quilt, guns, household goods, and more. Ukrainian singer Anna Kozyar and the Lee Stoltzfus Band will provide music, and food options will be pulled pork, burgers, french fries, wood-fired pizza, ice cream, and desserts. Saturday's activities will include cow patty bingo, a moon bounce, mazes, a Spikeball tournament, a gun giveaway drawing, a food and tea tent, and singing.
