Fundraiser To Benefit Scholarships

A Jack & Meghan WarwickStrong Memorial Scholarship motorcycle ride and community event will take place on Saturday, July 24.

Registration for the motorcycle ride will start at 9 a.m. at LCBC Manheim, 2392 Mount Joy Road, and the ride will begin at 10:30 a.m. Separate fees have been set for bikes and for passengers.

The community event will be held at Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, 419 Pierson Road, Lititz, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will include cornhole, face painting and other games. Attendees may purchase food from Lickity Split Ice Cream, Fink's French Fries, Hen House Grilling, What's For Supper and Sugar Whipped Bakery.

A portion of food purchases will be donated to the Jack & Meghan WarwickStrong Memorial Scholarship fund, and buckets will be on-site for additional donations. The fund is used to provide scholarships to Warwick seniors who meet the criteria outlined in the application and demonstrate WarwickStrong character traits.

The scholarship is named after Jack Nicholson and Meghan Keeney, teenagers who died in a multi-vehicle car accident outside the Warwick High School parking lot on Oct. 26, 2018. The Warwick community banded together in a display of strength, love and hope that started a movement known as WarwickStrong.

Scholarship applications are still being accepted from graduates from Warwick High School's Class of 2021. Questions may be directed to jackandmeghanmsve@gmail.com.
