Seven local garden clubs, members of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, will present a National Garden Club Standard Flower Show titled "From Sea to Shining Sea" at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11. It will be open to the public on Sept. 10 from 1 to 9 p.m. and Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the ballroom. The show will be included with admission to Longwood Gardens.

The clubs planning the show are Elverson Garden Club, Four Seasons Garden Club of Kennett Square, Garden Club of Bala Cynwyd, Garden Club of Springfield, Spade and Trowel Club, The Country Gardeners, and Uwchlan Garden Club. The clubs hope to introduce the public to new and different horticultural experiences in addition to various means of displaying horticulture in floral design.

Individuals do not need to be members of a garden club to enter. Horticulture entries may be submitted on Friday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Sept. 10 from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Contact Janet Fassbender at janetfassbender@aol.com by Monday, Aug. 15, for entry cards, the schedule, and more information on entering the show.
