Garden Spot Village calendar posted

Several events will take place in the Garden Spot Village Chapel. Events include a presentation on Project Lifesaver by Trooper Chad Roberts from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2; a talk with local author Jo Ann Brown at 7 p.m. on March 2; an evening of prayer at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 9; an educational program on the life story of H. Clifton Thorbahn at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16; and the March Saturday Evening Concert Series at Garden Spot Village featuring a performance by Inspiration in Perfect Harmony at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 18.

Other activities include the 1st Friday Pop-up Shop at The Artisans Corner featuring Sally Rapp from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 3. On Friday, March 24, at 6 p.m., the Kids Fun Run in cooperation with Girls on the Run Lancaster will be held, with details and registration at http://www.gsv.run/kids. The Garden Spot Village Half Marathon and 10K will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 8 a.m., with registration and details available at http://www.gsv.run. An open house will be held in the Garden Spot Village Train Room from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on March 25.

Garden Spot Village also offers several support groups, which are free and open to the community. Living With Loss, Living With Hope Mini Series will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 1 to 15, in the Prayer and Meditation Room. Fellow Travelers in Community, a group for individuals noticing cognitive changes in themselves, will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, in the theater. Caregiver Friends in Community, for family caregivers of persons with dementia, will meet in the Concord Room at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 13. Compassionate Neighbors in Community will meet on Wednesday, March 15, at 10 a.m. in the theater. Parkinson's Friends in Community, for individuals with Parkinson's and their friends and families, will meet on Monday, March 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Garden Towers. The ELANCO Nar-Anon Family Group meets at 6 p.m. on Sundays in the Prayer and Meditation Room.
