A Youth Pickleball Tournament will take place on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown. Players should have knowledge of the basic rules and some experience. Participants must have a partner to enter, and play is open to both boys and girls. Participants may register together or separately, and there is a set fee per participant. Tournament times will be determined based on the number of team entries, with a limit of eight teams per group. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.

An After-School Basketball Skills Clinic will be offered for girls and boys in grades three through five. The clinic will take place from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. on Tuesdays from Sept. 9 to Oct. 14 in the gym at Bear Creek School, 1459 Sheaffer Road, Elizabethtown. Each day's activities will incorporate skill stations, games, and game play in three-versus-three and five-versus-five settings. Ball handling, shooting fundamentals, dribble moves, moving without the ball, and offensive footwork will be stressed.

Iddy Biddy Basketball, for children ages 4 to 6, will take place on Saturdays from Dec. 13 to Jan. 31 in the gym at East High Elementary School, 800 E. High St., Elizabethtown. The class will not meet on Dec. 27. The class times will be 8 to 8:45 a.m. or 9 to 9:45 a.m. Participants will learn basic shooting, dribbling, and passing skills. The fee includes a T-shirt.
