A Parent & Child swim class will be offered on Saturdays, Jan. 4 to Feb. 22, at the Masonic Village Patton Pool, 1244 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown. Children ages 6 to 24 months may attend from 8 to 8:30 a.m., and those ages 2 to 3 years old may attend from 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. A parent or guardian must participate in the pool with their child. This class is designed to help young children feel comfortable in and around the water.

Medicare Madness, for anyone who is about to turn 65, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the GEARS Community Center, 70 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown. Topics will be the basics of Medicare, including how and when to sign up for Medicare; what is covered by the different parts of Medicare (A, B, C, and D); the difference between a Medicare Supplemental (Medigap) and a Medicare Advantage plan; and how to find a plan that best fits one's needs. Bingo will be played at the conclusion of the class.
