Gehret Sets Concert At Eicher Center

Ken Gehret will present a concert on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Eicher Arts Center, 409 Cocalico St., in Ephrata Borough's Grater Park.

Gehret has performed with some prominent country music stars over the years, and his fiddle playing will be a significant part of the Eicher program. In addition to playing the fiddle and guitar, Gehret composes for and plays 15 other instruments, including woodwind, string, and keyboard instruments. He will play many of those instruments at the Nov. 13 performance.

The concert will be the final 2022 event in the Eicher's Sunday afternoon series of cultural and entertainment shows for the public.

Admission is free. Donations to the nonprofit Eicher Arts Center Inc. will be accepted. The group was formed in the 1980s and worked with the borough to save from demolition the historic Eicher House, which was originally built in the 1730s. The building is now used as a venue for the performing arts events the Arts Center hosts and also is rented out for weddings and other private events.
