The Heisey and Gil Ortiz families have announced the engagement of Laura Stephanie Gil Ortiz of Bogota, Colombia, and Solomon Avery Heisey of Elizabethtown.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jorge Gil and Lucy Ortiz of Bogota, Colombia. She graduated from Gimnasio los Portales in 2017 and from Penn State University in 2022. She obtained a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2023. She is employed by Logistics Plus in Pittsburgh.

The groom-to-be is the son of Wayne and Simone Heisey of Elizabethtown. He graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2017 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021. He is employed by Listrak in Lititz.

A 2026 wedding is planned.
