What is the mission of Historic Wrightsville Incorporated?

Historic Wrightsville Inc. was organized to promote interest in the history of the community; to identify, acquire, restore, and preserve historic sites; and to promote community spirit by enriching the social, educational, and cultural life of Wrightsville Borough and the surrounding area.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

Historic Wrightsville Incorporated participates in Give Local York to help raise funds to maintain our two properties: the museum and the diorama. The diorama is where the people may view a presentation of Wrightsville's participation in the Civil War. The funds are also used to maintain the artifacts of the museum, to archive these artifacts, and for supplies needed to archive all new artifacts that the museum obtains.
