What is the mission of the Toys for Tots program?

The mission of the Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to children in need in York City and York County with the support of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The First Capitol Detachment of the Marine Corps League is the sponsor of the York, Pa., local community organization.

Why is the program excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

In 2019, we were able to provide more than 32,000 toys to 15,500 children in York County. With additional support through Give Local York, we can make Christmas brighter for more children and families in 2020!
