Giving Trail to benefit nonprofits

The inaugural Giving Trail will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29. It will begin at Lancaster Gift Box, 317 N. Queen St., Lancaster; continue at The Common Wheel, 324 N. Queen St., Lancaster; and end at Decades, 438 N. Queen St. Everyone age 18 and up is welcome to participate by making a nonperishable food donation at each of the three stops on the trail. Participants who get their Giving Trail Passport stamped at each business will be entered to win a gift tower.

The Giving Trail food drive will benefit Community Action Partnership (CAP) and will also help raise funds for eight local nonprofits.

As part of the Giving Trail festivities, Decades will host a Christmas in July celebration, including a visit from Santa Claus on July 29 from noon to 4 p.m. On both days, a holiday sangria cocktail will be available, with proceeds benefiting Lancaster Food Hub, and gingerbread-flavored ice cream will be offered, as well.
