Good Friday Breakfast slated

The YMCA of the Roses invites community members to attend the 69th annual Good Friday Breakfast. This community gathering brings people of faith together for a message and an ecumenical worship service in keeping with the Christian traditions of the YMCA. The event will be held at the Farm and Home Center at 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, on Friday, March 29, at 7:30 a.m.

The guest speaker will be the Rev. Jennifer Mattson, who has been the pastor of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for the past seven years. Previously, she served at St. John's Episcopal Church in Lancaster, and she will celebrate 20 years of ordained ministry next year. A mother of four, pastor, and wife, she lives in Lancaster with her family. The Rev. Bradley Mattson, her husband, serves Hope Episcopal Church in Manheim.

Dedicated to ending gun violence, Jennifer serves as co-chair of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania's Saving Lives: Ending Gun Violence ministry. She is committed to anti-racism work and has worked with POWER Interfaith.
