Representatives of the Lancaster Chapter of the School Retirees (LCSR) were on hand at the Solanco School Board meeting on Feb. 2 to announce grant award winners.

Carol Gilbert presented the grants from LCSR, and Jean Young, LCSR president, also attended the meeting. Grant winners included Bonnie Mathis and Christine Zink, co-winners of a $500 grant for Financial Literacy & Employability in the Classroom; Jessica McCullough and Brittney Booher, co-winners of a $250 grant for Little Minds, Big Feelings, Early Learning Family Event; Rachel Schreiber, a $500 grant for Purchasing State and National Award-Winning Books for Elementary School Library; Ashley Kellar, a $315 grant for Magic of Senses to Purchase Sensory Station for Autistic Students; Lisa Budzik, a $500 grant for Purchasing State and National Award-Winning Books for Elementary School Library; and Maria Young, a $136 grant for Play-Doh and Prose.
