Great Outdoors Expo And Dinner Planned

The Great Outdoors Expo and Dinner will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18, Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church (EBIC), 996 E. High St., Elizabethtown.

This family-friendly event will feature activities, outdoors-themed exhibitors, prizes, dinner and a guest speaker. Kids' outdoor activities will start at 4 p.m. with beginners' archery and fly-fishing demonstrations. Exhibits by wildlife and recreation groups will open indoors at 4 p.m.

A venison barbecue dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the church's fellowship hall. Door prizes will be awarded, followed by a multimedia presentation at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary by guest speaker Tony Bolton of Franklin, Tenn.

Bolton is a nationally known speaker and artist who is also a hunter and outdoorsman. He teaches God's Word to a multigenerational audience through an approach aimed at motivating and inspiring his audience to take their relationship with the Lord to a new level. From his early days as a youth pastor, Bolton has been committed to challenging people to serve and to "step out of the box" with their faith.

"God has called us to be light and salt to the world. You can serve the Lord with boldness and become a leader in your circle of influence, wherever that may be," Bolton said.
