Gretna Music to host piano trio

Gretna Music will present the Hermitage Piano Trio on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Mt. Gretna Playhouse, 200 Pennsylvania Ave., Mount Gretna.

Consisting of Misha Keylin on violin, Sergey Antonov on cello and Ilya Kazantsev on piano, the Hermitage Piano Trio has garnered multiple Grammy Award nominations. The trio performs a repertoire ranging from the works of the European tradition to more contemporary American pieces. 

The Hermitage Piano Trio will perform four pieces: Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 17, by Clara Schumann; "Tres Impresiones" by Mariano Perello; "Elegie for Piano Trio," Op. 23, by Josef Suk and Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 110, by Robert Schumann.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. as the Rising Crescendo Trio will present a First Listen performance at 6:45 p.m. First Listen is a series of free, 20-minute mini concerts by local students that are presented before most performances.
