The Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department will host its second annual Groundhog Day Celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Carriage House at Stauffer Mansion, 1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. The event is family-friendly and free for all to attend.

The event will include the prognostication of M.T. Parker, a life-like groundhog plush toy. There will also be crafts, refreshments, and photo opportunities with M.T. Parker. Joyful Doberman Rescue of PA will be accepting donations, as well.

Last year's celebration was primarily a virtual event, with the Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department broadcasting via Facebook. M.T. Parker did not see his shadow, predicting an early spring.
