"Group Therapy" art exhibit to open

Local mixed-media and auditory artist Kyle Hollinger is bringing his new exhibit, "Group Therapy," to Mulberry Art Studios this March. The exhibit will open with a First Friday Reception on March 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and will be available for viewing throughout the month of March.

Guests who are interested in seeing the exhibit but are unable to come during the opening should email Stephanie.mulberryart@gmail.com to arrange a time to view the artwork. Mulberry is located in historic downtown Lancaster at 21 N. Mulberry St., and it offers free parking in a private lot.

Comprised of both visual and auditory elements, "Group Therapy" provides a window into Hollinger's struggles of living with mental illness. Hollinger views himself and the subject matter in his pieces as a functioning group working together.

Hollinger, who hails from Mechanicsburg, earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he studied an eclectic assortment of mediums, including electronic music, painting and woodworking. Since graduating, he has continued to work as a musician and artist.
