GSV sets support group meetings, other programs

Garden Spot Village (GSV), 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, has announced upcoming events, including support group meetings. Unless otherwise noted, the activities are free and open to the public, and more details are available by calling 717-355-6000.

Compassionate Neighbors in Community will meet on Wednesday, April 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the theater; the group is for friends or family members of those experiencing cognitive challenges. The meeting will be facilitated by Garden Spot Village team members Leslie Sitlinger and Melody Karick. For more information, call 717-355-6076.

Parkinson's Friends in Community, for individuals with Parkinson's and their friends and families, will meet on Monday, April 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Garden Towers. Pharmacist Josh Stauffer will discuss "Parkinson's Disease Medication Management." For more information, call Jenny Snyder at 717-355-6259.

The New Holland Historical Society will offer a program, "The Women of Amish History," on Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the chapel.

The Saturday Evening Concert Series will continue with a performance by Flipside Big Band on Saturday, April 20, at 7 p.m. Directed by Howard Boots, Flipside Big Band is a subset of the Lampeter-Strasburg Community Band.

Servant Stage will perform "I'll Fly Away" on Wednesday, April 24, at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Featuring a live folk band and vocalists, this production is a tribute to gospel and bluegrass music. Admission is by donation.

Community Circle will meet on Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in the prayer room. This activity offers a simple, structured process of communication intended to help participants connect with themselves and others. To learn more, email Jill Heine at jilltransform@gmail.com.
