Halfway To St. Paddy's Day Set

Halfway to St. Paddy's Day will take place at restaurants and bars throughout downtown York on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 5 p.m. The event is geared toward adults age 21 and over.

Halfway to St. Paddy's Day will be a celebration of Irish heritage with 17 bars and restaurants participating. Granfalloons will end the night from 6 to 8 p.m. with The Ploughboys playing Irish music.

The cost of admission includes the official 2023 York St. Patrick's Day Parade T-shirt to wear during the event, which is also the ticket to the specials. To purchase, visit http://www.eventbrite.com and search for "Halfway to St. Paddy's Day."

Admission to the event will be by advance sales only. Admission is limited, and no T-shirts will be sold on the day of the event. T-shirts may be picked up on Saturdays, Sept. 10 and 17, at the Central Market York from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on the day of the event at The Gift Horse Brewing Company from noon to 1 p.m. or by other arrangement at the time of purchase.

After a three-year hiatus, the 37th York Saint Patrick's Day Parade will step off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from Market and Penn streets, York. The parade is organized by the York Saint Patrick's Day Parade Committee Inc., a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization. No tax dollars are used for this event. The parade is funded by corporate sponsors, entry fees, and a variety of fundraising activities planned throughout the year.
