Hershey Area Neighbors and Newcomers Club (HANNC) will meet at the Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Ave., Hershey, at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The guest speaker will be John Marietta, who retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel. He received a master's degree in history from Shippensburg University and later taught at Shippensburg and York College. His program, titled "The True Story of Thanksgiving," focuses on food, faith and football.

HANNC meets on the second Thursday of the month from September to April. Guests are welcome.
