Hummelstown Business and Professional Association (HBPA) will present A Taste of Hummelstown on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the town square. Proceeds from the event will benefit local service organizations and projects.

"A Taste of Hummelstown" party plates will be offered, which will allow ticket holders to enjoy appetizers, salads, side dishes, beverages and entrees served by local restaurants, businesses and organizations. Sampling tables will be set up on the sidewalks around center square offering the donated "tastes."

Music will be provided by DJ Scott Mateer, who will be located in front of Bowser's Furniture Store

Tickets for A Taste of Hummelstown are on sale through the HBPA. Tickets are also available at Wagner's Insurance, M&T Bank - Hummelstown, Rhoads Pharmacy and Gift Shop and Chocolates by Tina Marie.

Ticket holders will exchange their tickets for a wristband and dining guide the day of the event at any one of the three ticket exchange tables hosted by Members 1st Federal Credit Union. Ticket exchange tables will be located near Bill Maloney Men's Wear and Tailor Shop, The 1762 At The Warwick Hotel and Rhoads Pharmacy & Gift Shop.

The event is for people of all ages, but proper identification will be required at the ticket-exchange table for anyone who appears under age 30. Special wristbands will be given to people age 21 and over since wine and beer sampling will be offered.

Profits from the sale of tickets for A Taste of Hummelstown will be donated to a variety of Hummelstown service organizations and charities. Last year's event benefited the Hummelstown Food Bank, the Hummelstown Fire Company, the Hummelstown Summer Rec Program, the Hummelstown Police Department, the Hummelstown Fire Police, Hummelstown's Communities That Care and projects such as the Planters on the Square.
